Just before we jump straight into the deep end of our DJI Goggles review, we thought you might like to have a quick read of how the seller, John Lewis chooses to describe this item in the description: Enjoy hands-free drone flying with DJI’s goggles. Designed for comfort, they combine a pair of large ultra-high quality screens, long-range, low-lag wireless connectivity and direct control of photo and video capture. Offering Intelligent Flight Modes – ActiveTrack, TapFly, Terrain Follow, Cinematic Mode and Tripod Mode – for an easy flying experience. Low lag transmission Delivering both 720p/60fps and close range 1080p/30fps viewing with very low latency of just 110ms. Using DJI’s OcuSync wireless transmission system you can connect up to 4 devices to the Mavic Pro. There are built-in antennas to provide 360-degrees coverage, so you can see everything. Internal design The regular 2K screens inside the goggles are split into two 1280 x 1440 sections, one for each eye. When viewing a 16:9 image, some sections are cut off, leaving only a quarter of the available pixels. DJI goggles have two 1920 x 1080 screens providing more than double the amount of pixels of a typical 2K single screen. Comfortable design With a solid headband that evenly spreads the weight of the goggles around the head to minimise pressure on your face. If you wear glasses, then you can keep them on when you have the goggles on. You can flip the screen part up to see what’s happening in the real world. Easy-reach controls You can either use the touchpad on the side of the goggles or 5D button on the Mavic Pro controller to navigate the internal menu system. Connect your devices Micro USB input: Connect compatible Phantom 4 series and Inspire 2 using the USB port to get access to tracking functions and head tracking MicroSD card: Download files from aircraft to the goggles’s onboard SD card for backup or view video files HDMI input: Watch camera feeds from the drones or plug in a video device to watch films or play games Audio: Plug headphones into the jack or use the integrated speakers to listen to audio and videos being played through the HDMI cable What’s in the box?
